A private village ensconced in thousands of years of history
The turquoise Aegean laps Amanruyaâs private pebble beach, while ancient pine forests scent the air. Resting amid olive groves and cypress trees on the Bodrum Peninsulaâs serene north coast, the village-like resort is a secluded retreat offering an abundance of space and privacy. Set on the quietest of bays, Amanruyaâs guest pavilions are free-standing, with unusually large private pools. Meandering footpaths lead to the propertyâs heart where restaurants, a spa and three-storey library overlook a marble infinity pool. Beyond the property lie ancient Greek and Roman ruins in spectacular natural surroundings, including Unesco-protected Ephesus, Priene, Miletus and Didyma. These cultural relics vie for attention with sun-kissed beaches and villages forgotten by time. The 35 pool Pavilions each have a private garden and pool and are large luxurious spaces featuring a bedroom, living room and an open bathroom area. Styled with local stone, dark acajou wood furniture and white Turkish marble floors, the pavilions offer cool accommodation during the heat of the summer months. During the winter, the living room includes an open fire transforming the pavilion into a warm, cosy space. 500 metres from the resort down a winding path guests can enjoy the private Beach Club. The Club consists of a series of terraces on which sun loungers overlook the small pebble beach, a jetty and an offshore swimming pontoon. The resort offers a 50 metre swimming pool, tennis court, library, boutique and art gallery. Two spa suites offer an array of relaxing treatments.
